Many deaths are inevitable in a franchise like Mortal Kombat. Many well-known figures that pass away in the series somehow make appearances in later games.
This is logical. The only character left in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon would be Shao Kahn if NetherRealm Studios stuck to the original timeline.
However, the resurrection of dead figures isn’t merely happening for popularity.
In addition to fan (and creator) partiality, there are narrative and tale explanations for why and how Mortal Kombat characters come back after being killed.
An intriguing case is Scorpion, who serves as the series’ face.
Scorpion was at first killed during the occasions of Mortal Kombat Legends: Freezing before the primary in-game rivalry, subsequently, he has been dead since Mortal Kombat’s presentation.
Although Quan Chi has power over a revived, inhuman soldier known as a Revenant, he lives as one.
He wears Klassic clothes that give the impression that he is human and alive, but according to canon, he was dead until Mortal Kombat X.
Another illustration of a character rising from the dead in various ways is Scorpion’s adversary, Sub-Zero.
There are actually two Sub-Zero characters. The first Sub-Zero, known as Bi-Han, is slain by a Scorpion.
The new Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang, the brother of Bi-younger Han, who has a scar above his eye.
Timeline for the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot:
Kuai Liang actually passes on in the wake of expecting the character of Digital Freezing in the Human Kombat (2011) reboot timetable, however, he ultimately gets back to his human structure.
As Noob Saibot, an individual from the Fraternity of Shadow who stays in the Netherrealm, the computer game’s portrayal of misery, Bi-Han, Kuai Liang’s sibling, shows up.
However, Mortal Kombat doesn’t simply feature the resurrection of Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
In Mortal Kombat, there are many sorcerers. Given that Quan Chi is one of the most powerful sorcerers in the Mortal Kombat universe, it seems likely that he is the one who summoned numerous characters back from the grave to serve him as a Revenant.
Kung Lao, Jax, Lui Kang, Jade, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Smoke, Kabal, Sindel and Nightwolf are all changed into inhuman Revenants in Mortal Kombat by Quan Chi (2011).
Characters in Mortal Kombat X
Five characters—Jax, Kitana, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Sub-Zero—are playable in Mortal Kombat X.
Like Scorpion, they are all canonically deceased servants at the start of Mortal Kombat X’s plot, but they all have costumes that make them seem alive.
The only characters in Mortal Kombat X truly brought back to life are Jax, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion because Sonya Blade’s victory over Quan Chi freed them from his grip.
Early in the narrative, Jax is revived, allowing Jacqui Briggs to exist.
When Mortal Kombat 11 explored different timelines, some characters—like Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, and Sindel—found themselves coming back from the grave, while others—like Shao Kahn—came back via traveling to the future from the past.
Even though Liu Kang’s former self eventually transforms into the deity of fire and thunder, Liu Kang’s current self is still a Revenant.
The Great Kung Lao, the progenitor of Liu Kang’s and Kung Lao’s cousins, also reappears in Fire God Liu Kang’s epilogue after time travel back to the days of the early Mortal Kombat competitions.

In Mortal Kombat 12, who will be alive?
If Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat 11:
The consequence is viewed as standard and the Human Kombat timetable resets to that of The Incomparable Kung Lao, obscure will or won’t be alive in Human Kombat 12.
It does present a chance for NetherRealm Studios to explore the unexplored territory in the period before Mortal Kombat 1.
If the next Mortal Kombat movie in 2021 is any indicator, fans may get to watch Cole Young’s in-game debut and discover his real identity.
Fans of Mortal Kombat may probably be confident that some Kombatants will return through a supernatural resurrection or by just existing in the new timeline.
